Sometimes, you make mistakes. They are unintentional, of course, and you meant well by it. Sometimes, you really just want to be happy and excited for someone because they themselves are happy and excited. Sometimes that happy excitement backfires and you feel bad about it.... and then someone else comes along and makes a not-so-happy-and-exciting snarky comment about you being excited because someone else was happy and excited and you wanted to let them know you were happy and excited for them.
And then sometimes you get on your shiny new blog and b*tch about it.

A is for Everything.
So today is the beginning of the AAA Accountability Alliance, dedicated to gettin' healthy and in shape. So here's my stats and goals for the season:
--I have never weighed this much before, and I find it to be unacceptable.
--My long-term goal weight is about 140 lbs, where I will re-evaluate my plans and decide if more chub should be lost. That's a weight loss goal of 57 lbs total... for now.
So that leaves short term goals and the changes I'm going to work on to make it happen.
--Writing down everything I eat in a day makes me more conscious of what goes into my gut, and seemed to help before.. so I started doing that today.
--I'm going to start my day off with a delicious, low-fat fruit smoothie. This should not be hard; I love smoothies.
--I want at least one of the things on my 'daily nom list' to be leafy or plant-based. I do not eat nearly enough fruits and veggies.
--More water, tea and REAL juice... less soda.
--I will try different substitutions in my cooking and baking endeavors to cut some calories/salt/fat/bad stuff.
For now, I'm going to take ridiculously small steps: my weight loss goal is 2 lbs. My biggest hurdle in this will probably be my defeatist attitude when it comes to dieting... I need to keep in mind that one day of "birthday binge" laden with cake, soda and pizza is not the beginning of the end. I just need to stick with the plan and jump back on the cake-less bandwagon the next day.
